
Spanish is studied at all levels. The purposes and objectives of this academic area are to teach correct pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and the history of the Spanish speaking countries.
Music classes are offered to all students. The primary purpose and objective of the music program is to give the students the opportunity to experience and enjoy all the forms of musical expression: vocal, instrumental, and movement.
Art is studied in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Students are taught basic design elements to help them develop awareness and sensitivity to their environment, inventive imagination, expression, understanding and appreciation of self and others and aesthetic growth through the use of art materials, art culture and heritage, and through visual discrimination and judgment.
EES students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade attend computer classes on a regular schedule.. The computer lab is used to teach students to use technology as a tool as well as to enhance and enrich the regular areas of study. In addition to basic keyboarding, students learn to use various programs (word, excel, presentations, etc.) to produce useful documents and projects.
